Did you see…….?

Jamie Malden of Colouricious demonstrating block printing on the Hochanda TV channel today? She used my hand-dyed fabric squares to show the technique and mentioned my name!! Here is a small selection of colours that can be achieved using Procion dyes.

I run workshops to teach very simple methods of fabric dyeing.  See my website or Facebook page to read more about it or contact me via email.

Another week, another booking!

Pleased to receive a booking for a block printing workshop next January from a u3a group (University of the 3rd Age for anyone unfamiliar with them).  This has given me the incentive to look into marketing my workshops to other u3a groups in the area……

Meanwhile, further preparation for the Festival of Quilts workshops – Embellish a Small Canvas picture and Indian Embroidery including Shisha – Friday 12th August 2016.  Lots of block printing at home as there won’t be the facilities available there.

Embroidered Paisley Design

Looking forward to watching the new(ish) TV Channel Hochanda on Sunday as Jamie Malden of Colouricious will be featuring!  Take a look at the wonderful array of blocks on sale.

Back to stitching samples……

The time for procrastination is over!!!

After a year of ups and downs it really is time I gave this a proper shot!

I am going to try to blog regularly from now on

Difficult to know where to start but I am beginning to recognise the ‘real me’

I had my flyers printed:-

and took the plunge in January to enter the Bucks Open Studios exhibition fortnight for the first time.  Thank you to the Queens Park Art Centre for letting me exhibit my textiles/mixed media work in the coffee shop.  The children who regularly visit the Centre loved my block printing demonstrations! Below  is just one example of the work they produced.  I made some very good contacts and new friends too.  Definitely worth doing.
